The handmade lampshade features fine silk and a collection of rare antique textile. Colors incorporated into the shade include maroon, lilac, blue, gold, and a touch of black.

The lamp base is an antique gem in cast metal. A touch of Art Deco and a touch of Art Nouveau, the base features interesting lines and is medium in size, is stable, and is weighty. The lamp was fully rewired by a certified electrician using new UL listed parts. The base was hand-painted to complement the shade. The antique finial adds a magical touch to the lamp, in cast metal.

The handstrung beadwork on the shade--totaling over 2,100 pieces—includes faceted Czech crystal beads, vintage French seed beads, and antique bronze metals. The handmade pull chain features Czech beads and a lovely purple agate.
